Follow the steps below to give your carpets the best chance in the event of a spill

If your carpets have been protected by Great Choice using our incredible "Stain Shield" protector then, in the case of spillages and accidents, your carpets are far more likely to be returned to their previous condition. Even if your carpets haven’t been protected, by following the method below for self-help as soon as you discover a spot on your carpets, about 95% of stains can be completely and safely removed.

Carpet & Upholstery Stain Removal Procedure

1. NEVER RUB OR SCRUB AT A SPILLAGE. ALWAYS BLOT.

2. If it's a LIQUID spillage, blot up excess using plain white towels and skip to step 4 below.

3. If it's SOLID or PARTIALLY SOLID spillage, scrape up solid waste and blot liquid if required as per step 2.

4. Pre-test Great Choice Spotting Solution on an inconspicuous area. If you don’t have any, use really hot water and a dash of washing up liquid.

5. Spray spotting solution onto any remaining spot. Press down hard with white towelling, or stand on the cloth, and repeat as required.

6. If stain is not removed after several attempts, spray / pour spotter solution until stain is damp, cover with white towelling and weigh down with a HEAVY object and leave overnight. Repeat during the day and up to two further nights.

7. Again, NEVER RUB OR SCRUB AT THE STAIN. Yes, this is so important we mentioned it twice!

8. Call Great Choice Carpet Cleaning on 0800 180 4560 if the stain is not completely removed in 3 days. Or call us anytime for some advice! We really do welcome your calls. It costs nothing but could save you hundreds!

9. Finally don't forget to tell all your friends and family about the amazing QUALITY carpet cleaning we performed for you.

REMEMBER. DOING THE WRONG THING IS USUALLY WORSE THAN DOING NOTHING AT ALL!

Don't forget. DO NOT place wood or metal back onto damp carpet before the carpet is TOTALLY dry. This may result in PERMANENT staining. Plastic items are fine.
